It’s Saturday—
and the world wants hustle.
Chores. Errands. Catching up.
Do more. Be more. Check the boxes.
But I’ve got a different kind of list.
A list for your heart.
A checklist for your soul.
Because sometimes joy doesn’t just show up.
Sometimes you’ve gotta invite it in.
Make space.
Say, “Come sit here next to me. I saved you a spot.”
So here it is.
Your Saturday Soul Checklist:
No pressure. Just peace.
☐ Laugh at something dumb
Not the polite kind.
Not the “scroll and smirk” kind.
I mean the kind that bubbles up from nowhere,
makes your belly shake,
makes you forget for a second
why you were ever heavy in the first place.
Let yourself be ridiculous.
Let yourself laugh.
☐ Eat something delicious
And I mean delicious.
Not “clean.”
Not “approved.”
Not “well, I guess I earned it.”
No.
Eat the thing that hugs your insides.
That reminds you food is joy,
not a transaction.
Taste. Enjoy.
Repeat.
☐ Move like no one’s watching
Because no one is.
And if they are?
They’re probably wishing they could move like that too.
So dance in the kitchen.
Stretch like a cat.
Walk barefoot.
Move like freedom.
Move like you love being alive.
☐ Take a guilt-free nap
Yeah, I said it.
Guilt-free.
The kind where you melt into pillows
and forget what time it is.
Because rest is not a reward—
it’s a right.
☐ Remind yourself you’re enough
Like really enough.
Not “once I fix this.”
Not “when I catch up.”
Not “if I do more.”
You.
Right now.
In your sweatpants.
With your unwashed hair.
In your quiet, your chaos, your in-between.
You are enough.
Say it out loud if you have to.
(Actually, please do.)
That’s it.
That’s the list.
No gold stars. No grades.
Just grace.
Let your Saturday be soft.
Let it be slow.
Let it be exactly what your soul needs—
even if it’s just laughing, snacking, and sleeping.
Because sometimes healing doesn’t roar.
Sometimes?
It naps.
